Pouvant \u00eatre pos\u00e9 suivant diff\u00e9rentes techniques, le contreventement permet \u00e0 la construction de mieux r\u00e9sister aux forces lat\u00e9rales et verticales auxquelles elle est expos\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<h2>En quoi consiste un contreventement ?<\/h2>\n<p>Un contreventement est un dispositif dont l\u2019utilisation est indispensable lors de la construction d\u2019une maison en bois, notamment celles qui sont structur\u00e9es selon le principe de l\u2019ossature en caissons. Comme son nom l\u2019indique, le contreventement est un syst\u00e8me destin\u00e9 \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger la construction les forces du vent. En effet, en plus d\u2019\u00eatre soumise aux forces de la gravit\u00e9, une construction en bois est \u00e9galement expos\u00e9e \u00e0 des forces lat\u00e9rales ou horizontales comme le vent ou les actions sismiques. La mise en place de contreventements permet donc de r\u00e9\u00e9quilibrer ces deux forces, pour \u00e9viter l\u2019effondrement du b\u00e2timent. Dans la majorit\u00e9 des cas, les contreventements sont plac\u00e9s dans un plan vertical pour \u00e9viter les d\u00e9formations de l\u2019ossature bois engendr\u00e9es par ces forces lat\u00e9rales.<\/p>\n<h2>Un meilleur \u00e9quilibre entre les forces verticales et les forces lat\u00e9rales<\/h2>\n<p>Une maison en bois, notamment celle construite suivant la technique de l\u2019ossature en caissons est structur\u00e9e avec une ossature en bois et des panneaux de contreventements. L\u2019ossature en bois se compose de montants, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire des \u00e9l\u00e9ments verticaux accueillant des lisses, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire des \u00e9l\u00e9ments horizontaux. A noter qu\u2019une construction structur\u00e9e avec seulement une ossature en bois ne pourra pas r\u00e9sister aux forces lat\u00e9rales. Il faut imp\u00e9rativement qu\u2019elle soit \u00e9quip\u00e9e de contreventements. Dans le cas contraire, elle risque de se d\u00e9former, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire que les angles droits form\u00e9s avec les \u00e9l\u00e9ments horizontaux et verticaux se modifient. Par cons\u00e9quent, les rectangles form\u00e9s se transforment en parall\u00e9logrammes et la construction risque de s\u2019effondrer facilement.<\/p>\n<h2>Les diff\u00e9rents dispositifs de contreventement<\/h2>\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui, plusieurs techniques permettent d\u2019installer des contreventements pour qu\u2019une maison en bois r\u00e9siste mieux aux forces verticales et horizontales auxquelles elle est expos\u00e9e. Technique tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandue, la pose de contreventements par triangulation a pour but de remplacer carr\u00e9ment les rectangles form\u00e9s par les \u00e9l\u00e9ments verticaux et horizontaux de l\u2019ossature bois par des triangles qui ne peuvent pas \u00eatre d\u00e9form\u00e9es. Pour le contreventement par Croix de Saint Andr\u00e9, l\u2019un des bois de la croix exercera une force en traction, tandis que l\u2019autre bois fonctionnera en compression. Le contreventement peut aussi \u00eatre effectu\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.la-maison-naturelle.com\/3205-fibre-de-bois-rigide\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"130\" title=\"panneaux rigides\">panneau rigide<\/a> directement fix\u00e9 sur l\u2019ossature bois.
